Bridal Gown Alert

The news appears to be official this month on a designer no longer able to deliver on goods sold or promised. The famed House of Bianchi bridal wear designers have closed their doors permanently. Bianchi gowns have long been a tradition in the industry but unfortunately their business has fallen to its creditors and can no longer revive itself.

According to our industry insiders, if you have ordered a gown within the past 4 months and it is already created and sitting in a warehouse; there is a good possibility that you may receive your original dress order. Underwriters are doing their best to ship out what was already completed and ready to ship. However, please do NOT make any new orders (even if a boutique says its alright) for future orders. Several stories have circulated about salons that are saying you can still receive an original gown when in fact someone out there is making money on knock-offs with the Bianchi label sewn into them. The fabrics being used are not comparable nor is the quality, so buyer beware.

If you are fortunate enough to find what you like in-stock in your size at a reputable bridal salon then there is a strong possibility you may be able to purchase it at a discount. It is definitely worth asking your retail sales consultant if they will discount the gown in order to remove it from their current stock inventory. The same information applies to bridesmaids dresses.

Please keep your eyes open while shopping for your special dress and remember that from time to time designers do close their doors. The stress level is not worth holding out and hoping that your dress will arrive in time at the very last minute. We certainly hope that none of our brides is faced with this unpleasant predicament and that you will continue to look for other designers with similar style lines to Bianchi.
